#6 Neutrogena Wave Review

So I probably shouldn't be writing this post right now but I'm really tired of studying so I thought why not take a break?

Anyway my latest favourite thing is the.... Neutrogena Wave.

Yes I know, I'm somewhat behind time haha. It has been out for quite awhile but I've to say I was rather skeptical. It's pretty hard to believe a little pink gadget can clean the face so well. My mom and sister were equally skeptical when I brought it home. But all of us gave it a try and it's like our absolute favourite facial wash thingy-a-bob now.

Why? I'll list out the reasons here:
  1. My sister swears by it. She just used it while I was typing this post and she says it brings her pimples to head (to the surface) which makes it easier for her to pop them.
  2. It get rids of blackheads. Surprise? So was I! Imagine my shock the first time I used it to find little black pieces of stuff stuck to the white pad.
  3. My mom says it exfoliates her skin and I've to agree. I look slightly fairer after using it once.
  4. Skin is definitely smoother after 1 use. Probably due to the exfoliation.
  5. Smells heavenly!
  6. Definitely easy to use.
  7. Waterproof. Easy to use in and out of the shower.
My only problem with it would be that it's slightly tougher to scrub around the nose area but I try to be patient and maneuver it around. It's a little pricey too - I got it for SGD$26 at Watsons inclusive of 14 cleansing pads. The refills are SGD$14 for 30 pads but you can try buying them on eBay. It's slightly cheaper there! :)

#4 Cheryl Cole's Gorgeous Red Dress in "Promise This"

So I don't know if anyone has seen Cheryl Cole's "Promise This" music video but I absolutely LOVE LOVE the red dress she was wearing in it! Anyway this dress is from Jenny Packham's Fall 2010 line.

Generally I don't like wearing red because it would make me really self conscious as it's so bright. But I've to say this is one red dress I would wear if I had a place to wear it to haha.

#3 Haul from Watson's Christmas Sale!

Headed out to the Watson's Sale at VivoCity yesterday night and manage to grab some stuff! I think most brands were participating in the sale so there were some pretty good deals as nearly everything had 25% off.

Here are the 3 items I bought:

Eucerin Anti-Pigment Pigmentation Regulating Fluid
(Normal Price:$53.90/Sale:$40.40)

 Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Nail Polish
(Normal Price: $12.90/Sale: $10.90)

Revlon PhotoReady Foundation
(Normal Price: $29.90/Sale: $22.40)

Sally Hansen's Insta-Dri nail polish is one product I rave about to my friends all the time. In fact, I have them in various shades. It seriously dries up within a minute which is good for me because I always always knock my nails into things and mess them up.

Anyway the product I'm really excited about is Eucerin's Anti-Pigment Pigmentation Regulating Fluid! This is the first time I'm trying Eucerin and I choose this product because it is suppose to reduce and prevent pigmentation disorders. It contains Dioic Acid which helps to slow down the production and distribution of melanin. This fluid also has a SPF of 30 and UVA protection so it's perfect for me to wear under my make up  or just as a sun screen alone.

I tried it this morning and it smells nice but I'm not loving the feeling of it. Like all products which has SPF, it tends to be a little oily but it got absorb into my skin pretty fast.

(Pardon my wrinkly hand haha)

I'm suppose to see brighter and more even toned skin in 4 weeks because that's what it says on the box! So I'll review this product again in 4 weeks with before and after photos. :)

#2 BEWARE: Worst Mask Ever

Pores Be Pure Skin- Clarifying Mud Mask Review

Recently, I felt like my skin was much oilier than usual. So I went in search of a mask that would help "soak" up the oil. I was about to head out to the drug store to get some when my mom popped into my room and asked me to try this mask she had bought but not used.

To cut a long story short, I followed the instructions on the back of the product and applied it to my face and neck. Within a minute my skin started to burn and there was this painful stinging sensation ALL OVER my face, I rushed to the toilet to wash it all off.

I WOULD NOT recommend anyone to use this product ever. My skin stung so bad and it remained reddish for the next half hour. Fortunately, it wore off after awhile. I told my mom it was an industrial skin mask and the only time I would ever apply that again (I still have more than half of the mask left) would be to my foot!

But now I'm in search of another mask for oily skin. Any recommendations??

#1 My First Product Review!

Olay White Radiance Intensive Brightening Serum Review
I've bought products from Olay before but this is my favourite product from them so far. I used it for about a month and my friends and family started telling me that my skin was glowing or brighter looking. One of my best friends even asked if I was using a new foundation which gave my skin a glow (although I was wearing NO makeup at that time). It has really shown results so I will definitely be using this for a long time to come, in fact I'm on my second bottle right now!

Here's a list of reasons I really love this product:

  1. It is fuss free and really easy to apply
  2. There is NO sticky or oily residue left behind
  3. Can be applied under any and everything - If I use it in the day it's usually the base for my make up and if I use it at night I'll put on a layer of moisturiser over it.
  4. Allergy free - As I've really sensitive skin this product did not make me break out or get rashes.
  5. Relatively cheap (about SGD$20), compared to brands like SK2
  6. Easily available at Guardian, Watsons etc.
I hope this helps anyone who is considering getting it. Feel free to ask me questions about it :)
